Removing The Inner Handle From The Lower Tailgate

Remove the lock mechanism. See LOCK MECHANISM TAILGATE LOWER, REPLACING .

Unhook the cable from the lock.

Remove the cable from the clip in the tailgate.

Remove the 3 screws.

Pull the opening handle and cables from the tailgate.

Remove:

the cover on the opening handle
the 2 screws.

Unhook the cables from the opening handle.

Release the catches.

Remove the cable from the bracket.
