Checking The Cable And Parking Brake Switch

Check the function of the parking brake switch. Measure the voltage between terminal #1 and ground.

HINT: Terminal pin 1 must be grounded when the parking brake is applied. 

Check the cable between combined instrument panel terminal #5 and parking brake connector terminal #1. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Remedy if necessary.
