Checking The Ground Terminals: Notes

• Ignition off.
• Control unit disconnected.
• Switch off all battery loadings such as entrance lighting and radio.

  Connect an ohmmeter between the battery negative lead and test box 14.

The ohmmeter should display approximately 0 Ω. 

• OK 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NOT OK 

  Refer to CHECKING FOR OPEN CIRCUITS, CONTACT RESISTANCE AND OXIDATION.
