Checking The Cable And Parking Brake Switch

• Ignition off
• Check the function of the brake fluid level switch. Take readings between brake fluid level switch terminals #1 and #2.

  In the event of low fluid level the voltage must be 0 V. In the event of full fluid level the voltage should be 12 V.

  Check and remedy the wiring between driver information module (DIM) terminal #6 and brake fluid level switch terminal #1. Check for a short-circuit to ground. See SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND, PERMANENT FAULTS .
