• Ignition off.
• Check function of brake fluid level guard. Measure the voltage between brake fluid level guard 1 and 2.

  When fluid level is low the voltage should be 0 V, and when level is full the voltage should be 12. See DRIVER INFORMATION MODULE (DIM), REPLACING .

  Check wires between combined instrument 5, and brake fluid level guard 1 for a short circuit to ground as described in, see SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND, PERMANENT FAULTS .

• YES 

  Refer to VERIFICATION 

• NO 

  FAULT NOT FOUND:  Troubleshooting has been completed.
