Replacing the Master Cylinder On Left-Hand Drive Cars With Manual Transmissions: Removal: Preparations

WARNING:
The master cylinder must not be opened. Reassembling it requires special equipment and facilities.
- Ignition off
- Remove the relay box and put it to one side
- Clean the master cylinder and the area around it
- Place cloths or paper under the master cylinder to protect painted surfaces from the brake fluid
- Press the brake pedal several times until it becomes firm. This is to eliminate the remaining vacuum in the system
- Drain the brake fluid reservoir.
