Protection, Rear Bumper
NOTE:
The surface must be at a temperature of at least 20°C (68°F) when work is carried out. Do not use the vehicle for at least two hours after work has been carried out. Do not wash the vehicle for at least 48 hours after work has been carried out.
- Open the boot lid.
- Wash the bumper casing and wipe dry.
- Take the bumper cover from the kit. Mark the center between the middle ribs using a piece of tape.
- Apply a piece of tape and mark the center of the bumper casing as shown.
- Center the bumper cover according to the pieces of tape and measure the dimensions as shown.
- Apply pieces of tape to mark out the dimensions.
- Remove the bumper cover.
- Clean the marked surface using isopropanol and wipe dry.
- Remove the protective tape from one side.
- Position the bumper cover center marking and the outer corner on the side that had the protective tape removed, at the markings on the bumper cover. Fold down the bumper cover towards the bumper casing, at the same time as securing the bumper cover into place.
- Remove the protective tape from the other side. Align it with the remaining tape markings and press the bumper cover into place.
- Remove the pieces of tape.
- Press the bumper cover towards the bumper casing over the entire surface.
NOTE:
