Checking Components And Wiring
- Ignition off.CAUTION:
Do not touch the terminal pins in the SRS control module. There is a risk of static discharge. This could damage the SRS control module.
NOTE:Check that the side impact sensor is connected.
Check the cable between the SRS control module and the connector or terminal for the side impact sensor according to the following:
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00B1,
front left side impact sensor terminals #8A (8) and #9A (9) and connector terminals #1 and #2.
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00B6,
front right side impact sensor terminals #8C (4) and #9C (5) and connector terminals #1 and #2.
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00BB,
rear left side impact sensor terminals #27A (27) and #28A (28) and connector terminals #1 and #2.
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00C0,
rear right side impact sensor terminals #27C (23) and #28C (24) and connector terminals #1 and #2.
for an open-circuit. See OPEN-CIRCUIT, PERMANENT FAULTS .
Remedy as necessary.
