Condition
The function of the battery is to store electrical energy that can be used later when the generator (GEN) is not charging - for parking lamps and starting the engine for example. The battery also operates as an energy reserve when the capacity of the generator (GEN) is insufficient and needs to be supplemented.

Possible Source
- Damaged battery.
Fault symptom[s]
- The battery discharges
- The starter motor does not turn
- Low rotation speed in the starter motor.
