Checking The Wires
Check wire between oil pressure guard 1 and engine control unit 26A for a short circuit to voltage supply as described in, see SHORT-CIRCUIT TO SUPPLY VOLTAGE. PERMANENT FAULTS , a short circuit to ground as described in SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND, PERMANENT FAULTS and an open circuit as described in OPEN-CIRCUIT, PERMANENT FAULTS .
HINT: The voltage should be 0 V in 1 with closed oil pressure contact (lamp on) and 12 V with an open circuit (lamp off).
Do the necessary corrective action.
