Checking The Status

• Ignition on.

  There are three possible reasons for the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) being stored.

  1. Angle sensor not calibrated.
  2. The control module is in service mode.
  3. Installation check not carried out.

  Read out status using the VCT2000 (or appropriate scan tool).

  HINT: Reading off cannot be carried out if the installation check has been carried out. 

  If the angle sensor is not calibrated, perform calibration.

  If the control module is in service mode, exit service mode.

  Carry out the installation check.

  Remedy as necessary.
