Checking The Wiring And The Relay
If the stop (brake) lamp does not light, check the cable between rear electronic module terminal #4D and high level stop (brake) lamps terminal #1. Check for an open-circuit according to OPEN-CIRCUIT, PERMANENT FAULTS . Check for a short-circuit to ground according to SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND, PERMANENT FAULTS .
Check the cable between high level stop (brake) lamps terminal #5 and ground. Check for an open-circuit according to OPEN-CIRCUIT, PERMANENT FAULTS . Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to SHORT-CIRCUIT TO SUPPLY VOLTAGE. PERMANENT FAULTS .
If the high level stop (brake) lamps are constantly lit, check the cable between rear electronic module terminal #4D and high level stop (brake) lamps terminal #1 for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to SHORT-CIRCUIT TO SUPPLY VOLTAGE. PERMANENT FAULTS .
