Checking Relay And Wires

Check wires to fog lamp for, see OPEN-CIRCUIT, PERMANENT FAULTS , SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND, PERMANENT FAULTS and CONTACT RESISTANCE AND OXIDATION .

Check relay (2/34).

HINT: The voltage across the relay should be 12 V at pins 1 and 3 when the fog lamp is on. 

Check the wire between 3 and fuse number 3 in the interior compartment fuse box (11 C/3).

Check that the fuse is intact.

Check the wire between relay 1 (2/34) and front fog lamp 1 (10/5 left front fog lamp and 10/6 right front fog lamp).

HINT: Ground connection to fog lamp at 2. 

Check the connector.
