Checking Power Supply And Ground

• Ignition off.

  Check that the fuses for the steering wheel module (SWM) in the central electronic module (CEM) are intact.

  Check the power supply cable from the central electronic module (CEM) to the steering wheel module (SWM). Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.

  Check the cable between the ground terminal and the steering wheel module (SWM). Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

  Check the ground terminal for the steering wheel module (SWM). Check for contact resistance. Check for oxidation.
