Checking The Power Supply And Ground Terminal
- Ignition off.
Check that the fuse for the rain sensor in the central electronic module (CEM) is intact. If the fuse is blown, check the subsequent circuit for a short-circuit to ground. Then replace the fuse.
Check the power supply cable between rain sensor module (RSM) terminal #A1 and central electronic module (CEM) terminal #H7. Check for an open-circuit.
Check the ground lead between rain sensor module (RSM) terminal #A2 and central electronic module (CEM) terminal #D10. Check for an open-circuit.
Check the signal cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminals #H23 (#37) and rain sensor module (RSM) terminal #A3. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Remedy the cables as necessary.
Switch on the ignition. Check that the relay for extended X-supply is activated.
Click the VCT2000 symbol to read the relay status.
