Checking Component And Wiring

On 5-door models 

Check the voltage on the rear left-hand lamp housing connector terminal #3 and the rear right-hand lamp housing connector terminal #1 to the output on the central electronic module (CEM). The voltage must be approximately 12 V when the rear fog lamp is activated.

Check the control signal cable. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Take readings between:

• Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #C6 (#6) and rear left-hand lamp housing connector terminal #3.

Take readings between:

• Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #C6 (#6) and rear right-hand lamp housing connector terminal #1.

On 4-door models 

Check the voltage on the rear left-hand lamp housing connector terminal #1 and the rear right-hand lamp housing connector terminal #3 to the output on the central electronic module (CEM). The voltage must be approximately 12 V when the rear fog lamp is activated.

Check the control signal cable. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Take readings between:

• Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #C6 (#6) and rear left-hand lamp housing connector terminal #1.

Take readings between:

• Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #C6 (#6) and rear right-hand lamp housing connector terminal #3.

Remedy as necessary.
