Checking Component And Wiring

Check the voltage on the left-hand headlamp connector terminal #7 to the output on the central electronic module (CEM). The voltage must be approximately 12 V when the low beam is activated.

Check the control signal cable. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Take readings between:

• Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #E13 (#13) and left-hand headlamp connector terminal #7.

Check the voltage on the rear right-hand lamp housing connector terminal #4 to the output on the central electronic module (CEM). The voltage must be approximately 12 V when the low beam is activated.

Check the control signal cable. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Take readings between:

• Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #C12 (#12) and rear right-hand lamp housing connector terminal #4.

Check the voltage on the license plate lighting connector terminal #2 to the output on the central electronic module (CEM). The voltage must be approximately 12 V when the low beam is activated.

Check the control signal cable. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Take readings between:

• Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #C13 (#13) and license plate lighting connector terminal #2.

Remedy as necessary.
