Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information CEM-8B03

Condition 

The central electronic module (CEM) powers the following lamps directly via an output:

• Front left-hand parking lamps
• Left-hand side parking lamps
• License plate lighting
• Rear right-hand parking lamps.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) registers that the power consumption in the circuit is too low.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in key position I with the parking lamps on.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to battery voltage in the signal cable to the lamps
• Open-circuit in the signal cable to the lamp circuit
• One or more lamps are defective or missing.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The parking lamps do not work
• The parking lamps cannot be switched off.
