Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information CEM-6F84

Condition 

The central electronic module (CEM) controls the power supply to the lock motor for the tank cap via a directly connected cable. The control module activates the motor if the switch for opening the tank cap on the light switch unit is pressed in. If the control module registers that the cable for voltage feed to the lock motor by the tank cap is short-circuited to voltage or open circuit, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to ground in the power supply cable for the fuel tank filler cap lock motor. Cable for voltage feed to lock tank cap short-circuited to voltage or open circuit.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Fuel-filler door/Locking does not work
• Fuel-filler door/Hard/impossible to open
