The central electronic module (CEM) checks the tailgate lock motor via a directly connected connection. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers a short-circuit to ground in the power cable for the lock motor.

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to ground in the power supply cable between the central electronic module (CEM) and the tailgate lock motor.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Does not lock or unlock the trunk lid.
