The central electronic module (CEM) checks the tailgate lock motor via a directly connected connection. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers an open-circuit or a short-circuit to supply voltage in the power cable for the lock motor.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in the power supply cable between the central electronic module (CEM) and the tailgate lock motor
• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the power supply cable between the central electronic module (CEM) and the tailgate lock motor.

Fault symptom[s] 

• No locking/unlocking of the tailgate.
