The central electronic module (CEM) checks the function of the siren control module (SCM) by sending control messages. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) receives information that the siren control module (SCM) has registered an internal fault in its inner vehicle tilt sensor.

Possible Source 

• Internal fault in the siren control module (SCM).

Fault symptom[s] 

• No sound signal if alarm triggered.
