Take the cable harness with the rubber grommet from the kit.
Pull in the end with four connectors through the hole in the car and fit the rubber grommet.
Hook the connector (1) at the intended location under the tail lamp.

Fit the cable with the clips (2).

Applies to cars with the Keyless system

Plug the connector into the antenna (1).

Applies to others

Secure the connector using a cable tie so that it does not rattle.

Apply small pieces of butyl tape to the control module. This is to prevent rattling.

Install the sensors in their cradles.

Check which cradles are to be placed where before installing. Each cradle is marked and has its own specific place. The cradles must be positioned as illustrated.
1. A: Right outer
2. B: Right inner
3. C: Left inner
4. D Left outer

NOTE:

Prepare and install one cradle at a time.

NOTE:

The tape adheres immediately.

Secure the tape on the cradle.
Remove the protective film from the tape.

CAUTION:

The adhesive must not come into contact with the tape or the cradle's protruding ring. The task of the tape is to secure the cradles to the bumper cover until the adhesive has cured after approximately 24 hours.

Apply a thin and even layer of adhesive. The adhesive must be above the tape level.
Use: 9512950 Adhesive gun, 1161730 Mixing pipe and 9511027 Adhesive.

CAUTION:

Only press on the places where the tape is located.

Install the sensor cradles (1) horizontal with the bumper cover as illustrated and secure them.

CAUTION:

Observe caution when installing so that the cradle does not come loose from the tape.

NOTE:

The large gray connector must protrude from the right-hand side of the bumper cover.

Connect the cable harness connectors to the sensors. A clicking noise must be heard when connecting. The noise confirms that the lock has been activated.

Secure the cable harness using butyl tape.

Lift up the bumper cover into position. Plug the sensors' connector into the connector secured below the right-hand tail lamp.
Reinstall the bumper cover in reverse order.

Gather together any excess cables. Clamp the cables securely where they cannot rub or become damaged.
Refit the panels and remaining parts removed in reverse order.
Download the software for the accessory's function following the service information in VIDA (Volvo Scan Tool).
Check the function.
