Replacing The Hood Release Cable

Remove the three mounting screws for the hood catch
Unhook the mechanical cable from the hood catch
Remove the fender liner
Pull the locking cable through to the wheel arch.

Remove the mounting screws for the handle in the passenger compartment
Remove the locking cable from the handle
Pull the locking cable through the wheel arch.

Install in reverse order.
Position the sleeve over the new mechanical cable.
Right-hand drive cars: secure the mechanical cable. Use a tie strap beside the air intake.

Tightening torque for the lock screws: 8 Nm.
