Hood Release Cable: Installation

Position the sleeve over the new mechanical cable.

Right-hand drive cars: secure the cable with a tie strap beside the air intake.

Pull the locking cable through the wheel arch.

Install:

the locking cable on the handle
the mounting screws for the handle in the passenger compartment. Tighten to 8 Nm .

Pull the locking cable through to the wheel arch.

Install the fender liner according to Plastic fender liner .

Hook the cable onto the hood catch.

Install the three mounting screws for the hood catch. Tighten the screws to 8 Nm .
