When replacing boots

Mark up the tripod in relation to the drive shaft.

Remove:

the snap ring
the tripod with an extractor for tripods
the boot from the drive shaft
the clip.

Carefully pull the boot over the bearing.

NOTE: Remove the steel ring from the boot if necessary.
