Installing and venting the boot

CAUTION: Ensure that no grease gets onto the mating surfaces between the boot and constant velocity joint. Ensure that the boots do not crease when the clamps are tightened.

Clean off excess grease using denatured alcohol. Slide the boot onto the constant velocity joint. Ensure that it is positioned correctly on the constant velocity joint.

Install the outer clamp. Use pliers 9512619 .

Vent the boot.

Install the inner clamp. Use pliers 9512619 .
