Installing and securing the boot guard

Apply a thin layer of locking fluid on the tripod housing. Slide the steel guard for the boot onto the tripod housing.

Use a drift to carefully tap the steel guard onto the upper part of the tripod housing.

Ensure that the tripod housing bottoms out against the rubber bellow.

Install a support in the opening.

Secure the steel guard at 3 points using a drift.
