Installing the boot

Thread the boot onto the shaft. Apply the remaining grease inside the boot.

NOTE: Ensure that there is no grease on the mating surfaces between the boot and the constant velocity joint and the shaft.

Remove excess grease. Use denatured alcohol. Ensure that the boot is in position on the constant velocity joint housing. Install a new clamp. Use pliers 9512619 .
