Cleaning and greasing

NOTE: The inner constant velocity joint can be cleaned while assembled and blown clean.
NOTE: If the joint needs to be disassembled and inspected, see Replacing the drive shaft boot on the transmission side .

Lubricate the constant velocity joint thoroughly.

The inner constant velocity joint requires 120 g of grease. Apply half the amount of the grease package. The remainder will be used later in the boot.
