Installing rear bumper

Position tape under tail lamps (and if the car is equipped with a tow hitch also apply tape to the bumper) to avoid damage to paintwork when installing the bumper
Install bumper.

Install screw/nut A, nut B and screw C (tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbf) on both the left and the right hand sides
Install clip D on underside of bumper (cars with a tow hitch have no clip D).

Connect connector to side marker lamp
Install screw A
Install splash guard mounting (3 clips/screws).

Position bracket (E)
- Mount washer and flanged bolt (C) (M10 x 30) and nut (D), hand tight
- Tighten bolt (C) to 55 Nm (40 ft. lbf) and nut (D) 25 Nm (18 ft. lbf) .
Mount bolt (C) and nut (D) hand tight
- Mount washer and flanged bolt (C) (M10 x 30) and nut (D), hand tight
- Tighten bolt (C) to 55 Nm (40 ft. lbf) and nut (D) 25 Nm (18 ft. lbf) .
Tighten bolt (C) to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbf) and nut (D) 25 Nm (18 ft. lbf)
- Mount washer and flanged bolt (C) (M10 x 30) and nut (D), hand tight
- Tighten bolt (C) to 55 Nm (40 ft. lbf) and nut (D) 25 Nm (18 ft. lbf) .
Only cars with tow hitch:
- Mount washer and flanged bolt (C) (M10 x 30) and nut (D), hand tight
- Tighten bolt (C) to 55 Nm (40 ft. lbf) and nut (D) 25 Nm (18 ft. lbf) .
Mount bolt (B) and tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbf) .
