Disassembling rear bumper

CAUTION: Do not damage the bumper during disassembly.

V40 only:
Remove the 8 clips and the plastic support on the left and right sides.

Press in the lugs. Remove the bracket assembly (E). Start at one end. (Some force is required to remove the bracket)
Remove the two clips (B)
Press in the lugs. Remove the bumper reinforcement (C). Start at one end
Remove the impact absorber (D) from the bumper reinforcement (C).

Remove the sidemarker lamps using tool 9814071
Remove the bulb holder
Remove the side support (E) on the left and right-hand sides
Press in the clips at one end of the inside of the bumper cover. Slide the molding (F) out of the bumper cover
Press in the clips. Remove the molding (F) completely
Remove the foam and clips from the bumper cover.
