Adapting rear bumper to S40 model

CAUTION: To avoid damage to the paintwork on the bumper cover, a foam underlay at least three centimeters thick must be used during assembly.

Primed bumpers 

Position the templates on the bumper, LH upwards to the left and RH upwards to the right on the bumper.

Use the curve (1) as an outline.

Cut out the material under the template.

File and grind the edges so that they are even.

Carry this out on both sides.

NOTE: Do not use cutting or heat generating tools on painted bumpers. File and grind the edges so that they are even.

Painted bumpers 

Position the templates on the bumper, LH upwards to the left and RH upwards to the right on the bumper.

Use the curve (1) as an outline.

Cut out the material under the template. Do not use cutting or heat generating tools on painted bumpers.

File and grind the edges so that they are even.

Use a touch-up pen on the cut surfaces.

Carry this out on both sides.
