Removing the windshield

Insert wire 1159785 through the PUR adhesive from the inside outwards.

Use round-nosed pliers to pull the wire through from the outside.

Secure the wire in the handle 1159784 on the outside and in counterhold 1159783 on the inside of the car.

NOTE: Install masking tape in the corners on the dashboard to prevent damage. Work with care.

Two-man operation:

Press the counterhold hard against the inside, as far away as possible. Pull the handle on the outside with a smooth, even movement.

Stop and move the counterhold forward by hand. Keep the wire under tension the whole time.

"Saw" around the corners. Extra care is needed at the weatherstrip at the roof edge.

Do not damage the interior trim or the paintwork.

Apply suction pads 9986030 to the windshield. Lift the windshield out.
