Replacing protective strips

First partially remove the protective strip. Use a wooden spatula if necessary
Carefully bend the strip away from the bodywork
Clean grease and dirt from the panel using white spirit.

WARNING: Avoid skin exposure to white spirit.

Remove the backing from the reverse
Position the strips. Press the strips into place.

NOTE: If a new front door, rear door or outer door panel needs to be installed, these have guide holes for the protective strip. The older version of edge molding can be installed; the guide holes will be covered by the molding. For optimum alignment with the front fender and/or rear edge of the front door, it is best to install the edge molding last.
