Locating leakage

Connect the leak detecting equipment hose for smoke  to the detached hose.

Fill the tank system with smoke. The time taken to fill the system depends on the size and volume of the system, and the performance of the equipment.

Visually check the evaporative emission (EVAP) system, using a halogen and/or UV lamp.

HINT: The supplier's instructions often contain useful tips to facilitate leak tracing. 

Stop filling with smoke.
