Checking the brakes

- A sticking brake can block one or both wheels when the car is being driven. This will mean that the wheel sensor signal is not transmitted.
Check that the brake calipers are not sticking and blocking the wheels.
Check that the parking brake lever, cables or brake calipers are not sticking.
Check that the brake shoes and cables for the parking brake are correctly adjusted.
Are all brakes OK?
- YES

- Defective brakes resulting in minimal braking effect in one or more wheels. This affects the ABS control from the control module during braking.
Check the brakes for the following symptoms:
- poor braking power
- the brakes pull to one side.
