Transmission control module (TCM) connector: General

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Volvo S40, 2003 Volvo S40, 2002 Volvo S40, 2001 Volvo S40, and 2000 Volvo S40. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

There are six unique connectors in the transmission control system, one for the transmission control module (TCM) and five located on a bracket. This bracket is mounted on the transmission on the left of the engine compartment.

Otherwise, the transmission control system wiring is routed along other cable harnesses in the car.
