Replacing the Windshield Wiper Shaft And/Or the Link Rod

Remove the wiper arms, see Removing Windshield Wiper Arms .
Remove the cover, 7x screws.
Remove the panel.

NOTE: Inside the panel there are 4 clips.

Release the control mechanism (press off the drive mechanism ball with a large screwdriver).
Remove the mounting nuts (x6) from the windscreen wiper shafts.
Remove the assembly. Replace the control arms and/or shafts.
Grease the ball joints (grease P/N 1161037-5).
Install the assembly. Tighten the nut to 10 Nm.

HINT: Ensure that the turn points under the shafts are correctly located.

Install the panel (7x mounting screws).
Install the wiper arm, see Installing windshield wiper arms .
Check the function.
