Checking wiring and connectors

Ignition off.
Check the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor and engine control module (ECM) connectors for intermittent contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .

Check the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor and engine control module (ECM) terminals visually according to Inspect terminals visually .

Remedy as necessary.
