Checking the connectors

- Ignition off
- Check the idle air control (IAC) valve and throttle position (TP) sensor connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation . Check for damage carefully
- Check the throttle body (TB) for play between the throttle spindle and the throttle position (TP) sensor according to Replacing throttle position (TP) sensor
- Check the intake system for air leakage according to intake system/leak test
- Remedy as necessary.
