Checking components and wiring

Ignition off.
Check that the resistance between idle air control (IAC) valve terminals 1 and 2 is approximately 10 Ω at +20 °C.

Check signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal 64 and idle air control (IAC) valve terminal 2 for an intermittent short-circuit to ground. Remedy according to Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults .
