Checking the power supply

Ignition off
Disconnect engine cooling fan (FC) relay 2/15
Ignition on.
Connect a voltmeter between engine cooling fan (FC) relay base terminal #1 and ground.

Other information
- To access or replace the relay or fuse, see the inside of the cover on the engine compartment relay/fusebox .

The voltmeter should read battery voltage.

OK
Refer to Checking the signal cable
NOT OK
Refer to Checking the power supply

Ignition on.
Check the cable between engine cooling fan (FC) relay base terminal #1 and the fuse for the circuit. Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .

Remedy as necessary.
