Checking components and wiring

Check that the resistance between relay terminals #1 and #2 is approximately 75-105 Ω at +20 °C.

Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #38 (half speed), terminal #8 (full speed) and terminal #69 (air conditioning (A/C) cooling fan) and relay terminal #2. Check for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage, intermittent faults . Remedy as necessary.
