Exhaust System, Checking For Leaks: Operation

Check the exhaust system by spraying a soap solution on all joints and the connections between the cylinder head and the rear three-way catalytic converter (TWC) (diesel engines) or the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) (gasoline engines).

Only very small and slow bubbles are permissible.
