Checking the signal cable

The voltmeter should read approximately 0.5 V. 



Check the cable between heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector terminal #4 and engine control module (ECM) connector terminal #45. Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .

Remedy as necessary.
