Checking connectors and the boost pressure system

- Ignition off
Check the connector of boost pressure sensor 1 (MAP) for contact resistance and oxidation as described in Contact resistance and oxidation .
Release the wastegate as described in Checking and adjusting the boost pressure control (BPC) valve on the turbocharger (TC) . Check that the wastegate does not seize or get stuck in the closed position.
Check the turbocharger as described in Checking boost pressure with manometer while test driving the car . Especially check the function and hoses of the pressure regulator.
If no fault is detected during the above fault tracing, try a new boost pressure sensor 2 (MAP).
Remedy as necessary.
