Checking the wheel speed

Ignition on.
Read off the wheel speeds.
Raise the car so that the relevant wheel is clear of the ground.
Spin the relevant wheel. Check the wheel speed.

Is the wheel speed OK?

YES
Refer to Faulty signal. Intermittent fault
NO
Refer to Checking the resistance in the signal cable
