Drive shaft, removing

Position mobile jack 9985972 under the outer section of the control arm.

Remove the nuts and screws for the stub axle / spring strut.
Turn the stub axle as much for turning to the left as possible.
Remove the drive shaft from the hub.
HINT: If the drive shaft sticks in the hub, tap it with a copper or rubber mallet. If necessary press the drive shaft out of the hub using a universal puller.
Hang the stub axle on the spring strut. Use hook 9995045 .

Remove the bearing cap from the support bearing for the drive shaft.
Remove the drive shaft.
NOTE:
Do not damage the seal in the gearbox.
Install the seal plug 9995488 in the gearbox.
