Measure the lateral run out

Put the dial gauge point against the brake disc as shown in the illustration.

Turn the brake disc. Use a socket wrench to help.

Note the dial gauge run-out. Brake disc lateral run-out must not exceed 0.040 mm.

If lateral run-out exceeds the value, replace the brake disc.
